When I retired I decided that if I did any voluntary work it would be local and involve children. I knew about JHT as friends had a little boy who was looked after at Kites and at home and the support they received benefitted the whole family, so here I am, and I am still amazed at what goes on behind the scenes.

I look forward to helping with the never ending tasks that help events run smoothly. I make up brochures, label collection tins and choose teddies, toiletries and toys for raffles and stalls and sort out the kindly donated gifts.

The staff are so cheerful and friendly and they work amazingly hard to make the children’s and parent’s lives easier. It is a pleasure to be involved with JHT.
