Whilst I was aware of James Hopkins Trust, when my daughter started working there as Care Coordinator in 2022, I soon realised the valuable work they do and respite facilities they provide to children and their families in Gloucestershire. Since that time, I have been volunteering in various ways at their fetes whilst also helping to raise funds via Five Valleys Mini Club at our car shows throughout the season. As a team we created the birds and bugs wildlife area in the garden at Kites Corner too. Added to this I am a volunteer at The Good Neighbour Cafe in Highnam and with the help of our fabulous bakers, have provided cakes and assisted at the Snowdrop weekends.
I continue to nominate and put forward James Hopkins Trust whenever I can to various organisations I’m involved with when they are charity fundraising. Having fundraised for them before, the Good Neighbour Cafe has awarded them charity of the year again.
Volunteering for James Hopkins Trust is extremely rewarding, and Five Valleys Mini Club has chosen them as their charity for the second year running.
