We rely on support from our local community to help us to generate the funds essential to us to be able to help our families in Gloucestershire. There are numerous ways you can help us through your own fundraising efforts.
Fundraising at school is a fun and exciting way to raise awareness of local charities and your support can make a real difference to families with a life-limited or life-threatened child. We can provide you with ideas and materials to help your fundraising and we can even arrange to visit your school and talk to pupils about the work we do. Ways you can fundraise
Looking to do your own thing to help us raise money to care for life-limited and life-threatened children? Simply let us know what you plan to do and we’ll help to support you. Here are some ideas for your fundraising event (there are many more ways to raise money):
Charity Run
Set a date to throw on your running gear and invite pupils and teachers to sign up to your Charity Run. Ask participants to make a donation to enter and they can also gain sponsorship for taking part.
Sponsored Silence
Get your pupils involved in a sponsored silence for an hour/morning/day in exchange for sponsorship.
Wear Orange
Help us to celebrate our birthday month by picking a day in September and dressing in something orange. It could be in addition to uniform or a non-uniform day! Ask pupils to donate £1 (or more) to join in.
Cake Sale
Get baking to support life-limited and life-threatened children. Hold a cake stall after school for all pupils, parents and teachers to enjoy!
Christmas Jumper Day
Pick a date in December to ask your pupils to wear their Christmas jumpers and donate £1 (or more) to join in.
Charity of the Year
Choosing to support James Hopkins Trust throughout the school year is a fantastic way to make a difference to the lives of life-limited and life-threatened children across Gloucestershire while enjoying some fun fundraising activities. Charitable involvement fosters a sense of collective responsibility among young people and can be a positive aspect of school engagement. We can provide you with ideas and materials to help your fundraising and we can even arrange to come in to do an assembly at your school or to speak to your pupils.
