Parents and carers of children and young people who have or are using James Hopkins Trust’s services are able to become more involved in the Organisation by coming along to our Family Involvement Group meetings. It provides families with the opportunity to have their voice heard in a number of ways.

It is a wonderful way to socialise with other parents, the meetings are often held in a pub over a meal so it is very informal. Once the agenda has been addressed, there is much laughter and pleasure from being with people who are experiencing and feeling the same sort of things that you do.

If you are interested in joining the Family Involvement Group or the secure Facebook page for our families please contact nurses@jameshopkinstrust.org.uk  and they will be able to put you in touch with a member of the group.

“It is a relief to know that you can make contact with other parents going through the same thing.”                       Deborah – Parent

“We greatly value the families input and opinions. Many of the Trusts new initiatives, such as our overnight provision, is as a result of the feedback recieved from them”       Jo Page – Trust Manager
