Life has been very different for us all this year but amidst all the fear and anxiety that comes with Corona Virus, the value of our gardens and the benefits they offer for our physical and mental well being is something many of us have felt particularly keenly over recent months. There is nothing more therapeutic and rewarding than nurturing plants or growing one’s own fruit and vegetables.

It is therefore, with considerable delight, that I can announce our Autumn Specialist Plant Sale on Friday, September 11th, 2020
10.00 am – 2.00 pm
WILL be going ahead as planned.

In order to ensure everyone is as safe as possible, however, we intend to implement a few changes to the normal format.

Firstly, if weather conditions permit, we hope to hold the Plant Sale on the village cricket pitch. This will allow plenty of space between stalls and with parking there too, it will be easy to buy plants and carry them to the car.

To help social distancing, there will be two manned points of entry and we would ask you to have the correct money ready, if at all possible.

This will be the normal £5.00 to include coffee and chocolate brownies (which will be served from the cricket pavilion) plus entrance to the garden, just a short walk up the lane.

Hand sanitiser will be provided but do feel free to bring your own as well as masks and gloves, if preferred. Loos are available in the cricket pavilion and at the garden. Dogs on leads are welcome.

There will be a wonderful and extensive range of interesting perennials, climbers, shrubs and bulbs for autumn planting available and any of the nurseries with websites (see links below) are delighted if you wish to pre-order and collect from the sale.

If the weather is wet, the sale will be in the garden as normal.
