| Over the past 18 years, our Trust has grown out of all
recognition and we are now a major contributor to care in the community throughout
Gloucestershire. This expansion of our services means that we rely on the support of
volunteers more than ever before and we have no reached the stage when we are looking to
increase our dedicated band of helpers in all parts of the county. |
Can
you Help?
The golden rule, however, is that you need commit only that
time and effort which you feel you can spare and there is no pressure from us to
do more than you yourself want to do.
What we need for example, are people who will: |
- Help us sell our ever popular Christmas Cards. Simply take
a few packs and sell them to friends and neighbours in the run up to Christmas
- You may wish to help with the packaging and labelling of the cards, in your own home.
- Perhaps you might like to help manning a stall for an hour or so in November and
December, either at Eastgate precinct, or Gloucestershire Royal hospital, or all the
"cards for good causes" shops in Cheltenham, Gloucester and Lydney.
- At other times thoughout the year, we have our own Trust events,
to which you may consider coming along to help. They include the Dean Dawdle sponsored walk and ride, our Charity Auction and numerous other events where we have a Trust
presence.
- Hold a coffee morning from time to time
- Act as a local contact for the Trust by popping a poster in your local shop or post
office to advertise forthcoming happenings.
- Become a volunteer driver to help our families get to our Respite
Centre
- Help in an administrative role within our Charity offices at kite's
Corner
- Help to clean our Respite Centre
- Help to maintain our sensory & memorial
gardens
- Perhaps you could become a Trust Ambassador,
receiving cheques on our behalf and giving small talks on the work of the
Charity
- There are many other ways to help. If you think of any, or want further ideas then
please contact us.
