Our Trust provides a free respite care nursing
service for severely disabled young children (0-5 years) throughout the county either in
the family home or at our Unit in Gloucester.
We are always on the lookout for more nurses, especially from areas other than
Gloucester and Cheltenham.
Applications are invited from suitably qualified nurses to join our own Bank;
paediatric experience an advantage. All nurses are paid on an hourly based call out
system, wherever possible matching each nurse with a child on a close geographical basis.
Regular sessions of care range from four to ten hours, usually weekly. Once allocated,
each nurse would remain with the child and family to build up a stable and personal
relationship, which is key to our success.
